Jesus’ Hope Beyond Death – Justin Rossow

In most of North American Christianity, the best thing that can happen to a person is to die and go to heaven. But, is this a reflection of Jesus’ belief about death, or a continuation of a longstanding cultural metaphor? Jesus’ future hope seemed to rest in something much greater than a disembodied soul finding a place of rest.
