I want to love all those I come in contact with. Does that mean I give up my convictions and live by the world’s demands? How do I love actively and yet speak truth and life to those who need to hear it?

In regard to refugees, is it just about rescuing all who come, blindly and naively? Or in love should we be gentle as doves yet wise as serpents? There are people to protect here in this country and in others as well. That is not wrong, that is how a leader protects their citizens. Isn’t that their responsibility? There are those who do use the refugee situation as an opportunity to enter and cause harm. They should be vetted carefully in my opinion. I would do that to protect my own family.

It seems very easy for people to call Christians hypocrites and unloving and judgmental when they are only parroting what they hear and see from those who are spreading their own agenda of hate. They often don’t even know any Christians, themselves.

The world hates us because it hated Jesus first. But I will walk in Jesus’ love with His help and by His Spirit. I do believe, though, that we as Christians aren’t beholden to the world, to bow to their demands of tolerance and dance to their tunes. We are only beholden to Jesus and His will. And I know His will is to love.
